I opened mod download and it finished by putting up a page that i hadnt seen before , something about WinRaR .It also said something about a 30 day trial and when i clicked close there was no mod in manager.
I tried again and clicked off the WinRaR screen , double clicked on the mod text and have it in manager now.
... dont think i have registered for this WinRaR thingy , hope not.

Have you tried xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx:2302 as the IP?

Still not coming up on the list mate, have you opened your 2302 port on your router?
I added your ip to the web launcher button on the front page, makes things a little easier.

Okay dude, have a nice chrimbo
below the direct connect button on the front page is the "about" link, install the prog from there, it'll then launch freelancer from the browser. Seems to work with firefox

Right this is starting to get on my nerves:
I have the server up and running and atm I am only able to play with myself as the IP showing for the server is ***.***.1.2 which is the LAN address for the box running the server.
I have opened up the port 2302 in my firewall both generally and as a specific service and still the fecker won't show on the internet as a server. has anybody got any idea how I need to address this issue as the wonderful world of google is proving little or no help?
Got it narrowed down to something in my router setup but can't get the port range for freelancer - i know it is 2302 but my router is demanding an end value for the port range.
Frustrated of Radcliffe

the port range is 2302 - 2304
and your ip is currently xxx.xxx.xxx.111
remember that every time you turn off the router your ip will change
Global server seems to have been off since 11th of dec. so youll have to give us your ip once youve finished with the router, or get yourself a domain name assigned. try no-ip.com or similar services
direct connect can use domain name or ip number
welcome to the wonderful world of web hosting, lol
Hope you had a good christmas mate
